Hamilton’s books, but would only recommend her Anita Blake series up to and including Obsidian Butterfly I keep on reading, but I am an absurdly completist creature. Some of the best written large scale epic fantasy being worked on today is the Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin. As if spending my time at Half Price Books going from Robin McKinley, to Diana Wynn Jones to Anne McCaffrey, to Mercedes Lackey to Elizabeth Moon to Elizabeth Kerner to Tanith Lee wasn’t a big enough tip off. I have some not too bad depression issues, and it’s one of the books I turn to.
But on the topic of other people’s books, I concur with the Tamora Pierce, and while I haven’t gone through everything, I really like Terry Pratchet and Simon R.
Nobody else had finished it and were enraged at the spoiler though in Jude the Obscure, how could it be a spoiler. Her mysteries are satisfying I particularly like Blunt Saab logos I think it’s the funniest.
